1.3.21 – "What Will You Do With Jesus?"

You have an appointment that you cannot avoid: one day you must face the Lord. How you treat the Lord today will determine how the Lord will deal with you in eternity. What are you doing with Jesus?

1.10.21 – "Saved or Lost?"

There is a big difference between being saved and being lost. There is a big difference between standing in the grace of God or being rejected by the Lord. Being right with the Lord is the most critical matter of all.

1.17.21 – "What Is Truth?"

Pontius Pilate asked the question, “What is truth?” In this lesson we’ll examine Pilate’s question, asking the question, “Where does one find the truth on spiritual and moral matters when our culture doesn’t believe in absolutes?”

1.24.21 – "Sayings from the Cross 1"

They say the last words a person speaks is important. The gospel accounts record seven last sayings of Jesus Christ. If His words are important to our souls and eternity, we should listen and pay close attention.

1.31.21 – "Sayings from the Cross 2"

In this lesson we continue listening to what the Lord Jesus said while he was dying upon the cross. We’ll hear His cry of agony and we’ll see how He finished His suffering for the sins of the world.

2.7.21 – "God Is at Work in Baptism"

God is still very much at work in our world, and we need to think of what God does in the salvation of each individual. What does God do to save us and what part does baptism play in that salvation?

2.14.21 – "What Love Will Do"

The love God demonstrated through Jesus upon the cross can make a profound difference in our hearts and lives. The more we love God and love others the greater blessing we can be in this uncertain and chaotic world.

2.21.21 – "Let Us Pray"

God great gift of an open ear and an open heart is a blessing to every Christian. If God is ready to hear us, we should be ready to pour out our hearts to Him. We do not have to beg God to listen; He wants to!

2.28.21 – "The Narrow Way"

While the world speaks of diversity and acceptance for every idea, God points us to a narrow way that often includes only one way. When we walk with the Lord, we can’t go in any and every direction. We must follow Him.

3.7.21 – "When You Are Tempted"

Each of us faces temptation every day. Will Jesus really help us overcome our sins? What spiritual resources do we have that will help us stand strong against the schemes of the devil who tempts us?

Job asked “If a man dies, will he live again?” (Job 14:14). We live as creatures of this world limited in time, yet God is eternal and speaks of eternity. How will our lives today affect our eternal destiny.

4.4.21 – "God Raised Him Up"

Did God raise Jesus from the dead? We’re exploring some strong reasons to believe God raised Jesus up “bodily” from the dead. Our faith in a resurrected Lord Jesus is built upon the evidence.

The risen Lord Jesus appeared to His disciples over a forty-day period with many convincing proofs. We’re examining the testimony of the eyewitnesses to His bodily resurrection to see what convinced them.

Through the years several have offered theories of what they think happened that caused people to believe in the resurrection. We’re going to examine those theories with the evidence presented in the New Testament.

Some folks ask why Christians tell others about Jesus Christ and encourage them to be members of the church. While no one wants to impose their faith on another, we do want to persuade others to follow Jesus.

6.6.21 – "Peace with God"

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). In this lesson, we’re exploring the blessing of having peace with God, peace with others, and peace within ourselves.

6.13.21 – "You Can Have Eternal Life"

Many worry they can never live the Christian life and have eternal life in heaven. They have allowed their sinful past to discourage them and think God would never want them, but God wishes everyone to be saved.

6.20.21 – "The Love of God"

If we could but grasp how deeply God loves us, it would change our hearts and our lives. In fact, Scripture describes God’s love as so great it surpasses knowledge. No one loves you like the Lord Jesus.

6.27.21 – "The Grace of God"

Someone said grace is “God’s Redemption At Christ’s Expense.” The grace of God can do marvelous things in your life. It can give you hope and set you on a new path of life and serving the Lord with joy.

7.4.21 – "The Heart"

The place where you think, you feel, and you choose what you will do has a name. It’s called the heart. What is in your heart will determine your behavior and life. Your behavior and life will determine your destiny. What is in your heart?

7.11.21 – "Watch Your Heart"

At the most desperate time in His life, the Lord Jesus warned the disciples to watch and pray that they may not enter into temptation (Matthew 26:41). We too must watch and pray that our hearts are not led into sin.

7.18.21 – "Sins of the Heart"

Jeremiah said the heart is “more deceitful above all else and desperately sick” (Jeremiah 17:9). The Lord Jesus explained that out of the heart come many sins and iniquities. For this reason, we need to guard our hearts.

7.25.21 – "God Wants Your Heart"

God wants your heart, your whole heart, and the hearts of your friends and family. God knows that if He has your heart, He will have you; but if your heart is turned away from God, God wants you to come back to Him.

8.1.21 – "I Believe in God"

Faith in God is not a guess, an opinion, or a leap in the dark! We have sound reasons to believe He exists and that He made the world in which we live. Faith in God is not merely an intellectual matter, but one that we live for Him.

8.8.21 – "I Believe in Christ"

Our calendars date from the birth of Christ, and historians regard Him as the most influential person who ever lived. Was Christ merely a man or a prophet, or was He more than that? We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God!

8.15.21 – "I Believe the Bible"

Some consider the Bible an ancient document for ancient times with good thoughts, but they say it has errors and contradictions. Can we trust the Bible and does it have an authoritative message for us today?

8.22.21 – "I Believe in the Church"

Many people have rejected participating in the church by looking at its human faults, but is the church more than a human organization? We believe the church, as God intended, is a great blessing and necessary for our spiritual lives.

8.29.21 – "I Believe in Morality"

In our postmodern world, many think morality is self-determined, that we can decide right and wrong for ourselves. Though our world despises judgmental attitudes, Christ still insists He will judge us on the last day.

9.5.21 – "Created in the Image of God"

Have you considered the fact God created you in His image and after His likeness? Being made in the image of God carries with it many blessings and many responsibilities. If you are created in His image, how are you showing it? Stay tuned.

9.12.21 – "Never Alone"

Living alone presents many emotional and spiritual challenges to adults today. What does God desire for those who face the challenges of living alone, and what promises does He make for those alone? Stay tuned and we’ll find out.

9.19.21 – "When You Face God"

You have an appointment you cannot avoid. One day you will face God on the Day of Judgment. When you face God, will it be with great love and hope, or will it be with dread and fear? Are you prepared to meet God?

9.26.21 – "Will God Hear My Prayer"

Will God hear my prayer? Does God really care about my problems? Some feel very close to God and confident in their prayer life, while others feel far from God and wonder if God will hear and answer their prayers.

10.3.21 – "Impoverished in Spirit"

The Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” What does it mean to be “poor in spirit,” and why is such a condition is blessed of God? A person poor in spirit is a person who knows he needs God.

10.10.21 – "Mourning Over Sin"

When Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted,” He was not speaking of physical death but something far worse, the separation from God that comes from sin. Sin brings death, but Christ brings hope.

10.17.21 – "Hungering for Righteousness"

The Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.” There is a significant difference between being spiritually empty and spiritually filled with God’s blessing.

10.24.21 – "The Beauty of Forgiveness"

The person who realizes he is in sin and the bitterness of being lost seeks for mercy. The one who receives that gracious mercy at that point begins to understand the beauty of forgiveness and the joy of reconciliation with God.

10.31.21 – "The Righteous Life"

The Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” God forgave us and delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have the forgiveness of sins.

12.5.21 – "Thy Will Be Done"

At the hardest moment of His life in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Lord Jesus said, “Thy will be done.” We want to be able to say “Thy will be done” in our own lives. That means putting ourselves aside.

12.12.21 – "God Has Spoken"

When Jesus spoke in the first century, scribes took down His words. These words are in the New Testament and remain as authoritative as the day He first spoke them. God now speaks through His Son, and we must listen.

12.19.21 – "The Greatest Gift"

The greatest gift anyone can receive comes at the greatest price anyone can imagine. We are blessed because He bore a curse. We can have eternal life, because He gave up His life. By His stripes we are healed.

12.26.21 – "The Second Coming"

Jesus has promised to come again for His people. What will happen on that day? Will the dead come to life? Will we see Him in the air? Will the earth be destroyed? Will we be judged on that day?
