May 2008 Programs

(Topics May Change Without Notice)

May 04 — What Must I Do to be Saved?

We mention it in every program, but it has been awhile since we devoted one entire program to the study of how to be saved. A prominent television preacher (probably in the top three) was heard to do it recently, but how he misled the people. We are interested only in what the Bible says about it.

May 11 — Mother's Day

No. Mothers should not be worshiped, and we shall not do so or urge that in this program. However, from days of old we are taught to “Honor your fathers and mothers.” They are worthy. Mothers’ role in God’s scheme for populating the earth He had created is of the highest honor. Let’s see what the Bible says.

May 18 — What Is Sin?

What do you suppose the world believes is “sin?” A recent poll reveals some interesting thoughts about what people believe is sin and what is not. We will discuss some of these beliefs and what the Bible defines as sin. We will also discuss how to overcome sin and enjoy God’s forgiveness.

May 25 — The Holy Spirit on Pentecost

Someone who believes he (or maybe she) is “saved” asks to be kept in prayer that he might speak in tongues and do miracles like the people did on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter two. We will carefully examine that event, not to get anybody “told off,” but to be helpful to many who ask similar questions.
