May 1 – MIRACLES IN THE EARLY CHURCH Is the restoration of New Testament Christianity a worthy ideal? Oh, I believe it is! If so, and since miracles were definitely present in the New Testament church, why are we not experiencing them in the Lord's church? It's a reasonable question. Let's see.
May 8 - HONOR YOUR MOTHER Our Lord said that the fifth of the Ten Commandments, "Honor your father and your mother," was the first commandment with promise. This is the day that Americans have designated every year for us to honor our mothers. That's what this message is about.
May 15 – LET US PRAY According to Barna Research 82% of adults and 89% of teenagers pray in a normal week. Eighty-eight percent of women and 75% of men pray in a typical week. Are you among them? Prayer is a vital part of the Christian life so, "Let Us Pray."
May 22 – WHY PRAY? According to Barna's research 95% of the people who pray, thank God in prayer for what He has done in their lives; 76% pray for forgiveness of specific sins; 67% spend time in prayer worshiping God; 61% ask for help for specific needs; and 47% are silent during prayer to listen for God. Why do you pray?
May 29 – A PRAYING CHURCH Running parallel with the story of the dynamic growth of the church in the book of Acts of Apostles is the story of its prayerfulness. Restoration of the New Testament church will never be complete until we have restored this source of energy to the church today. The church must learn to pray.
